Dolly's Furever story!
Meet Dolly, a 5 year old pit bull who was found wandering the streets of a run down neighborhood. Someone took her to a local shelter where she tested positive for heart worms. Dolly didn't know it yet, but her future mom worked for a compassionate vet who helps rescues get the care they need out of her own pocket. This vet saw Dolly on Facebook and instantly fell in love.
Dolly's future mom had 4 dogs, but had worked at this clinic for over ten years and when she met the big homeless pit, it was instant love. From her "big block head, huge brown eyes and sweet demeanor" it was meant to be. However right as Dolly was being prepared to be spayed, the vet realized that she was pregnant!
Unfortunately, try as they might Dolly's babies were not viable, but as soon as she was back on her paws, she got to move in with her new family, her mom and dad and 4 fur siblings. Dolly wasn't out of the woods yet, she had successful heart worm treatment, but a lump was discovered on her leg. Four weeks of radiation brought her to the cancer free diagnosis her family desperately needed to hear. Dolly is a master cuddler, and according to her mom gives the best kisses <3
